Encased in 5 mil Type 304 stainless steel tape, the cable is specifically designed to be rodent-proof and lightning-resistant, providing an impenetrable barrier for your critical irrigation or landscape lighting circuits.

• Armored Protection: Helically wrapped with 5 mil stainless steel tape (Type 304) with a 33% minimum overlap to prevent damage from pests and environmental hazards.
• Weather & Sunlight Resistant: Features a 30 mil black PVC outer jacket that is sunlight resistant.
• Superior Insulation: Inner conductors are protected by 60 mil PVC insulation, rated for 600V.
• Solid Copper Conductors: Utilizes 14 or 12 AWG solid annealed copper for maximum conductivity and reliability.
• Rodent & Lightning Resistant: Specifically engineered to survive buried environments where standard cables are prone to failure from rodent chewing or lightning surges.

Application Recommendations:

• Splicing: Proper joints are critical in irrigation and landscape systems due to damp location exposure. We recommend using Model DBR/Y-6 (3M Company) for all splices to prevent copper corrosion and premature failure.
• Lightning Protection: For maximum lightning resistance, it is recommended to connect the stainless steel armor tape to an earth ground.
